Notwithstanding COVID 19, ASG has had a productive couple of months. Over the period, we’ve installed a new engine in a Cirrus, completed three Cirrus CAPS re-packs – including one aircraft that arrived from the south of Spain; eleven GA piston annual inspections, four Eclipse jets in for major 48 month/1200 hr inspections including ADS-B installation; three Garmin WAAS upgrades; our first Garmin GI 275 installation and numerous emergent defect rectification work.
In order to make delivery and collection easier we recently introduced a Cirrus Pick Up and Collection Service to bring aircraft to Guernsey for maintenance and this has been used on several occasions. Further, we have initiated innovative solutions to overcome the isolation requirement for visitors to Guernsey. These include a “buddy aircraft” for delivery and collection, “pilot in transit” dispensation for owners arriving or departing by Aurigny and “wait while we maintain” for shorter maintenance and defect investigation. Adam Lunn, ASG’s Service Manager said: “Although these have been challenging times for travel, ASG is fully open for business and has successfully continued to support our customers arriving from off-island by providing effective solutions to make aircraft delivery and collection simple and cost-effective whilst remaining fully compliant with the Guernsey authorities’ rules and regulations.”
ASG looks forward to continuing to support new and existing customers through this time. For quotations or requests for maintenance or avionics work please contact [email protected]
