It features a 305-knot max cruise speed – a nearly 20-knot speed increase – and a faster rate of climb than the B200. These performance improvements are thanks to the two new Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-52 engines; engines designed and manufactured specially for this aircraft. The PT6A- 52 engines present a perfect hybrid of the turbine element from the PT6A- 60A found on the Super King Air 350 and the proven quality of the PT6A-42 gearbox seen on the B200.
